David P. Kodack
B.S. in Biology
Washington & Lee University

I came to Georgetown with a specific interest in pharmacology, but I also wanted to leave my options open and be able to experience research in other departments.  This is why I entered Georgetown University via the Biomedical Sciences "Track" Program.  I have found all of the faculty very helpful in my decisions from what courses to take as well as what labs to rotate in.  The Department of Pharmacology is a very close-knit community where it is not unusual to find faculty stopping students in the hallway to talk about current research topics.  All of the faculty have open-door policies and are eager to answer any questions that you may have from coursework to possible thesis topics.  It is comforting to be surrounded by such genuine people who are undertaking ground-breaking research.
