Financial support for master's (M.S.) students is available in the form of federally subsidized, need-based loans, as well as institutionally supported, merit-based, partial tuition scholarships.  Students wishing to apply for federal need-based loans should contact the Office of Student Financial Services for relevant information and assistance.  Those wishing to be considered for partial tuition scholarships should check the appropriate box on the online application to indicate their interest.

Most Ph.D. students enrolled in biomedical graduate training programs at Georgetown University are supported throughout their studies. All tuition and mandatory fees, including health insurance, are generally covered, with an annual stipend provided to most students. Scholarship, Fellowship and Assistantship Awards are granted on a competitive basis, based on academic merit. The annual biomedical graduate stipend for the 2007-2008 academic/fiscal year (effective July 1, 2007) is $24,772.00.

Ph.D. students are supported by research grants to individual faculty members, by institutional or departmental funds, and by NIH Training Grants. Our students also have a high success rate in securing their own individual predoctoral fellowships.

The extramurally-funded training programs listed below provide support for predoctoral trainees (some also provide support for postdoctoral trainees). These grants reflect the strength of our academic programs and Georgetown's commitment to biomedical graduate education. For information about the training programs listed here, please contact the individuals listed.
