The Graduate Advisory Committee (GAC) is charged with the general oversight of graduate biomedical education at Georgetown University. Specifically, the GAC is responsible for the development and recommendation of new policies and procedures, and for the implementation and enforcement of approved and existing policies and procedures, which directly pertain to graduate biomedical education at the University. The GAC meets monthly during the academic year, and is comprised of graduate program directors representing each of the basic science departments and interdisciplinary programs at the Medical Center campus. The GAC also has student representation from the Medical Center Graduate Student Organization (MCGSO), as well as deaconal representation from both the Main and Medical Center campuses. The GAC is committed to the quality, integrity and growth of graduate biomedical education at Georgetown University. If you would like to submit a suggestion for an agenda item to be discussed at a future GAC meeting, please send us an e-mail. The deadline to submit an agenda item suggestion is the Monday (five days) prior to each scheduled meeting. Proposals for new and revised graduate programs, and for any GAC topic that will require a vote, must be available and circulated among the membership for review at least five days prior to the meeting.
